Every fact below was checked live on 2026-10-21 against the FILM gift page and Vincentwei1021/mg-styles-15 at commit 49052d8. Repository links point to that snapshot.

What 15 Motion Design Styles is

Vincentwei1021 published 15 ten-second motion design films with a prompt and source for each style. The intended route is to choose a style, change its creative seed, and give the whole prompt to a coding agent in an empty folder. (README L24–30, README L74–80)

How it works:

  • Choose a film. The showcase and README link each style to its full prompt and source. (README L38–70)
  • Change the seed. Replace the story, brand, copy and colours in Creative seed; keep Signature features so the style remains recognisable. (README L74–80)
  • Render the picture. Most films draw any requested moment in a web page, then headless Chrome captures the frames; the 3D film uses Blender for its picture. (README L32–36)
  • Build the sound. Each film includes an audio.py soundtrack script, and ffmpeg combines picture and sound. (README L28–36)
  • Review the result. The repo supplies a separate review prompt in rubric.md; its maker used two review and revision rounds on the published films. (README L74–80)

Before you start

For the prompt route, use a coding agent that can write code and run commands in an empty folder. The machine needs Node, Chrome and ffmpeg; the repo's source-rendering route specifies Node.js 22.12+, Python 3.11+, and Blender only for the 3D film. (README L74–92)

Read the prompt and source before running third-party code. The repo does not include the fonts used in the original films, so a local render may use fallback lettering until you supply them. (README L130–135)

The gift page's setup copy, verbatim:

Free (MIT). 15 ten-second motion design films, each with the exact prompt and full source. You need Node, Chrome and ffmpeg. Pick a style, change the Creative seed to your story, brand and colours, keep the Signature features, and paste it into Claude Code in an empty folder. Same prompt, different film every run.

01Install it

The prompt route needs no package from this repo: open a style prompt and copy its entire prompt block into your coding agent. To inspect the files or run a published film locally, clone the pinned snapshot and install its dependencies. (README L74–102)

git clone https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/mg-styles-15.git
cd mg-styles-15
git checkout 49052d80bfaf9fa8412cc9710530e5e95a3b8d8c
npm install
pip install -r requirements.txt

Install Chrome and ffmpeg on your machine before rendering. The README gives MG_CHROME for a non-default Chrome path. (README L84–93)

02Make or run a film

For your own film, open one file under prompts/, change only the parts specific to your story in Creative seed, and send the whole prompt block in an empty project folder. The README also permits changing Output for a different size or duration. Keep Signature features. (README L74–80)

To render the repo's flat-vector example from its root, use the README's commands:

python3 demos/01-flat-vector/audio.py
node harness/render.mjs demos/01-flat-vector
python3 -m http.server 8000

The preview is at localhost:8000/harness/preview.html?demo=01-flat-vector. Serve from the repository root because the film pages use root-relative asset paths. (README L95–105)

03Three things to try

These are instructions to paste into a coding agent from the cloned repository root. The first two use the repo's complete style prompts; the third uses its published review rubric. (flat-vector prompt L7–12, cel-boil prompt L7–12, rubric L1–5)

Read prompts/01-flat-vector.md. Use its entire prompt block to make a film about a fictional local bike-repair shop. Change Creative seed to that story, its copy and colours. Preserve Signature features and the output checks. Put the film in a new folder, not in demos/01-flat-vector.
Read prompts/05-cel-boil.md. Keep its Signature features, especially the line boil and frame timing. Replace only Creative seed with a ten-second story about a paper plane becoming a bird. Use a fictional title and document any outside assets in CREDITS.md.
Read rubric.md and independently review my finished video at <path to video.mp4> against the style prompt I used. Give timecoded issues and concrete fixes. Do not claim the film passed a check you have not run.

Credit and licence

Vincentwei1021 made the project with Claude Opus 5.5. Its code, prompts, docs and project-made films are MIT licensed; third-party files retain their own licences. Pedro shares the source. (README L137–145)
